IceBird is an celandic airline based at Akureyri Airport in the north of Iceland. It launched services in January 2024, to the destinations of Copenhagen, London Stansted & Tenerife.
Flexible fare options offer customers the choice of building a ticket that meets their needs, whilst all tickets include a generous 10kg hand luggage allowance you can also pay for 20kg of hold luggage. Other extras include pre selection of seat, seats with extra space & excellent in flight meals. Onboard you can purchase from an extensive range of refreshments.
BRITISHJET
In January 2025, BRITISHJET group took a 20% share of ICEBIRD air service. Its ACMI subsidary MANX will continue to provide aircraft and Flight Crew to the operator with enhanced synergies such as an interline agreement on flights between Akureyri and London.
Routes
IceBird operated between Akureyri and London Stansted on Sundays (STN-AEY) and a return service on Thursdays (AEY-STN) with a flight time of approximately 2hrs 45min.
Copenhagen is served twice a week Mondays & Thursdays with a flight time of approximately 3hrs.
Tenerife is served on Tuesdays with a flight time of approximately 5hrs 30min.
Our aircraft
IceBird flights are operated by MANX ACMI, a well regulated UK/EU carrier. Flights are operated on an Airbus A319 jet offering 144 seats in a 1 class economy configuration.
Semi reclined fixed, ultra slim leather seats offer a minimum of 29” pitch and also feature USB charging points for personal electronic devices.
The Airbus A319 aircraft can fly more than 3000 nautical miles, cruising at 35,000ft or more with a speed of more than 500mph.
