BOEING 737

The Boeing 737-8 is the latest version of the worlds best selling single aisle commercial jet.

We started introducing the new Boeing 737-8 in 2017 with deliveries over a period of 14 months, the new 737 allowed us to replace our older Boeing 757 fleet with more modern and fuel efficient technology. In 2020, BRITISHJET secured a further 18 acquisitions of the type with the additional aircraft set to replace our outgoing Boeing 737-700 fleet in 2021.

versatility

We set out to simplify our narrow-body fleet by introducing an aircraft that could operate long flights including Oceanic routes, alongside shorter flights just as economically. It would need to carry more passengers than our previous Boeing 757 to improve yields and be utilized across 70% of our network.

For ultimate synergy, the goal was to have a narrow-body fleet of one family type that can deliver on all of the above & significantly reduce costs. The answer was the Boeing 737 family, since 2016 we started flying Boeing 737-700 followed in 2017 by the brand new Boeing 737-8. As a result, we now have one family of aircraft that can be operated by the same flight crew's across 70% of our network on short & long sectors.

Now as we enter 2021 and a phase of recovery, we are evolving once again as we take delivery of a further 18 Boeing 737-8 series aircraft that will replace our smaller -700 series & help us become even more sustainable.
