THE ATR 72 at BRITISHJET

BRITISHJET first introduced the ATR 72-500 in 2021, for use on short commuter- regional & domestic services. It is perfectly suited to feed our London hub connecting our worldwide network with regional airports.

The aircraft is manufactured by ATR in Toulouse - France & is part of the Airbus group.

The ATR 72 is now one of the worlds best selling regional commuter aircraft, it is a larger & much higher performance variant of the original ATR 42 first developed in the 1980’s. Production of the ATR 72 family continues today and more than 800 aircraft are operating in the world.

Designed with high capacity, frequent regional sectors & durability in mind - the ATR 72 delivers renowned performance, reliability and economics as well as offering the most comfortable regional aircraft cabin in its class.

BRITISHJET operates it’s ATR 72 fleet with an all economy cabin configuration of 72 seats with a popular 2X2 layout and ultra-slim seats offer a generous 79cm pitch minimum.

ATR 72-600

In 2023, we announced an order for 20 brand new -600 series to expand and replace the current ATR fleet. The arrival of the new aircraft commenced in May 2024 and and was completed by March 2026.

Initially, the 600 series was integrated with the 500 series fleet until delivery rates increased, the last 500 series ATR departed the fleet in April 2026.

The new -600 series comprises many enhancements, it has a capacity increase of 4 seats, a new engine model, glass cockpit and redesigned cabin to mention a few.

BRITISHJET confirmed its order options for an additional 5 aircraft in 2025, bringing the total fleet size up to 25 aircraft.
